Ahh Looks like the port maintainer didnt add it in as
an option. If its
urgent, then add the line
CONFIGURE_ARGS+= --enable-compat15
to the bottom of the port Makefile
just above the last line
.include <bsd.port.post.mk>
and re-install it.
else i'll try and put in a send-pr to put in a proper option to enable
compat15 for the port.

Is there a procedure somewhere on the web that I can follow to recompile the
sources with '--enable-compat15'. I upgraded the nfdump using the 'portsnap
upgrade' utility in FreeBSD7.2. Thanks.

You have to re-compile the sources passing '--enable-compat15' to configure.
