Hi, Im trying to setup nfsen but Ive hit a problem whereby the nfcapd daemon isnt writing any data (other than effectively empty data files of 276 bytes). Ive read a few previous posts reporting similar problems but these havent applied to my system (ie I have not iptables/ipfw running etc).
What I have: OS FreeBSD 8.0 nfdump 1.6 What Im running (this is my last attempt at debugging) nfcapd -6 -E -w -p 6000 -S 1 -l /usr/local/var/nfsen/profiles-data/live I get zero data on this, however from tcpdump listening on port 6000 I can see several packets a second. Anyone any ideas what could be wrong? We have another tool called flowtools setup and working already so I dont think its a problem with our network hardware.... :S But Im stumped at the moment, thanks for any suggestions....
