We don't keep old data, but if we were to do it, we'd probably set up a manual script that would move an old file and replace it with a symlink. Also, we would have a second script that would look for files in the archive directory that no longer have symlinks to them and delete the files as well, since most likely nfsen would delete the symlinks when expiring old data.
