Some weeks ago, I sent out a plea for your donations; and among the responses were replies from some subscribers telling me that they don't use PayPal, and offering to send checks the old-fashioned way.
Since then I have received just one such check; and, since the mail has been unusually slow and unreliable for weeks, I'm wondering if other checks were sent, and went astray.
