Well, it seems, that this was indeed the problem here. It turned out,
that this hardware modification could be "undone" by switching one of
the jumpers that the previous owner "installed" on graphic card. I did
this, windows recognized the card properly, and flickering problem went
away :-)
Although the question remains if the nui plugins will work properly on "normal" Quadro cards :-/

Ho yes, I remember this hack to have the GF3 recognised as a Quadro... I don't think a "normal" quadro card will have any problem, just that the GF3 hardware wasn't supporting all the quadro features... Any Quadro owner here?
