Thought some of you might find this interesting, particulary for the
emphasis on the combination of CMS, CRM, email and ecommerce.

best,

document. Please feel free to forward this on to relevant lists and your
friends - and drop me an email (no calls please) if you have any
questions.

Have a good weekend!

Cheers,

Request for Proposals: Kabissa Online Community/CRM Project

Kabissa is seeking experienced partners to assist in a new project to
implement an Online Community/Constituent Relationship Management
(CRM) system for its 900+ members in Africa. Based on Kabissa's
specifications, completed in October 2006, we have determined three
major pieces of functionality we will require in a CRM system - member
management, e-mailing, and e-commerce. These pieces may be provided by
one tool or multiple tools, but all must work well with each other.
All tools must be extremely user friendly, especially from the front end
perspective, and incorporate common web 2.0 features. They will be often
accessed in low bandwidth environments on very old computers so
usability and efficiency are essential.

We had originally selected the open source system CiviCRM
(www.civicrm.org) and Joomla (www.joomla.org) and mapped out our
detailed specifications for these tools. While we are now open to other
solutions or other combinations of solutions, we still give preference
to proposals that are based around CiviCRM and Joomla.

This project will begin immediately and we are looking to work with the
selected vendor to develop a very quick implementation plan.
Interested? Proposals are due on March 2! For more details, download the
PDF document at http://www.kabissa.org/news/rfp-for-crm-project.html
