I guess a lot of people have read and provided feedback to Oren Eini's post entitled "SQL Azure, Sharding and NHibernate: A call for volunteers". The comment section directed people to start discussing the project here - so i figured i'd set up an initial thread.
My initial questions are: - Should this be a class-by-class, api-by-api conversion or is it more of a ground up implementation or should it be a ground up implementation emulating the same api? - How much of the code can be auto-converted (using visual studio 2005's java-to-c# conversion abilities). Is this suitable or should the code be hand written regardless? - How should we get started.
