This is probably the biggest problem. Both the hibernate.org NH pages and
NHForge look official and neither explains the distinction. Its massively
confusing. I think an explanation should be prominent on the NHForge home page.

Won't happen.
We tried, they refuse to even consider the idea.

yeah, but most people end up at nhibernate.org<http://nhibernate.org> when they
google for nhibernate... it would be much better if we could get them to point
that at nhforge.org<http://nhforge.org>, or just give us full control of the
domain

That is why we _have_ nhforge.org<http://nhforge.org>

iirc, they weren't very interested in transfering the
nhibernate.org<http://nhibernate.org> domainname to us, right?

if they are going to ignore everything nhibernate-related, they might as well
'cut us loose' and let us run the project the way we want to

Both me and Fabio has failed to reach anyone at Red Hat.
At this point, I think that we are going to use
jira.nhforge.org<http://jira.nhforge.org> instead.

To answer Fabio's question -- another thing that would help perception is
working links. Is there an ETA for getting
jira.nhibernate.com<http://jira.nhibernate.com> back in action? There are many
Google search results that point to that URL.

Hi folks

I'm working with Fabio to update nhforge.org<http://nhforge.org>.

One thing I'd like to do is have a few pictures of the core developers
on the home page, along with a short Bio description.

IMHO, there's still lots of .NET mort developers who see OS products
as non-trustworthy, and kind of underground :)

I believe putting faces on the home page will help invite trust.

Thoughts?

If you agree, I need mug shots and bios :)

You can send them to my email addy (tobin _at_ tobinharris _dot_ com).
The bio can be 1-5 lines of text. You can of course, just update your
Bio page on nhforge.org<http://nhforge.org> by logging in, and I'll get it from
there. If
you don't have time just ping them over in an email.

Thanks

Tobin
