a long time ago i've uploaded a patch for supporting multi criteria and
multi queries for the ODP driver using anonymous pl/sql block, openning
cursors and then proccessing the results.

http://216.121.112.228/browse/NH-2170

unfortunately the patch didn't get any votes, so may be people aren't using
oracle all that much, or don't know/ care about reducing remote calls.

just wanted to ask if not having any votes means this patch will never be
applied?
its very critical for us because sometimes the connectivity to our DB isn't
all that good, and when performing queries that return a thin amount of
data, it plays a small factor using futures.

i know and understand why you don't want "people from the street" commiting
patches, but (at least back than) i've ran all tests and none was broken,
and if you don't have the spare time, i can add the support for ODP in an
hour or so, again, not breaking any test of course.

in addition, there was a guy here asking about how can a query like
select ...
from SomeTable
where (col1, col2) in (select col1, col2 from DifferentTable)

with ICriteria

and just for him i've added the patch:
http://216.121.112.228/browse/NH-2178
of properties in Criteriion (as a part of the SubQueries criterion factory).
this one is the easiest things to add because its just another method in the
SubQueries class.
again, wandring if no votes means never gonna happen, and again, asking you
to consider letting me do it. this one will probably won't take more than a
few minutes + adding the test + of course, not breaking any of the existing
tests.

thanks.
