In NH's JIRA, there are plenty of interesting issues which are voted by different devs ( https://nhibernate.jira.com/browse/NH?selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.project%3Apopularissues-panel)
Some are even open since 1.2.0 (it's actually the most voted issue, but maybe also because of its age), but still not considered. Some are also very interesting on different aspects : - Better generated HQL, which also brings more selecting features in one request : https://nhibernate.jira.com/browse/NH-1930 - Performance issues : - allowing in one single request to retrieve all necessary data : https://nhibernate.jira.com/browse/NH-2679 - reading less stuff into memory : https://nhibernate.jira.com/browse/NH-2645 - not having unecessary subqueries : https://nhibernate.jira.com/browse/NH-3075 And this is only a sample ! How about introducing a few of those requested issues into every NH release ? It would make users happy and would bring more popularity to the project, meaning also more contributors. It would also make cleaner code ^^
