Yes it's like you said, the normal table are named like this:

AppPrefix_TheEntityName

and my temporary import tables are named:

Import_TheEntityName

The mappings refer to the table with AppPrefix_EntityName

Do you any pointers with more info on this NamingStrategy stuff ?
