Does NHibernate provide any mechanism to export a data "snapshot" from a (SQL Server 2005) database to a file (e.g., XML) and later import that snapshot into a different database that already has data?
I hacked up a system to do this, but it's highly inefficient, not elegant at all, and very slow. I can invest in improving its performance, but I'd first like to find out if there is already a mechanism in place that does this. Note that I'm not worried about uniqueness, as I'm using GUIDs for the identifiers of all the tables that might have conflicting data. Any ideas?
