please show what you are doing inNHibernateHelper.OpenSession() Only as information : NH is used in some real life high quality web application which performance was tested and approved by Yahoo.com; you can imagine that if 10" to load 5 simple entities is not acceptable.
When/if you have really bad performance, please, try to send use you custom code and/or explain what you are doing in the code you are obscuring us.
