Hi all First of all im a total noob with NHibernate.
But i have worked with hibernate recently , on a project based on Java,Tapestry with Postgre DB. The way we developed our app in the company was , we first made the DB design (Tabels,relations...) Than we generate the entities (objects) from the tabels from the DB. I know how to configure Hibernate with Java in Eclipse. I now statred my own project with a few collegues , we want to use NHibernate and ASP.net (C#). We will use an Existing DB schema. With JAVA/Eclipse we used the Hibernate plugin for Eclipse to generate all the Entities (Object) from the tables. The problem is our DB is currently about 60 tabels (maybe will need to add some more along the way) , my question is HOW DO I GENERATE the classes for each table using some tool in Visual Studio and what plugin would u reccomend? (i found these tools http://www.mygenerationsoftware.com and http://sourceforge.net/projects/nhibernateaddin) Also since im very new with using NHibernate in ASP.net web apps , is there any rules or best practicies that i should follow. I read a few blogs suggesting that we should first make our classes than generate from that our DB schema. But our DB schema is already finished. Thank u all for your time
