I have quite literally tried everything to get rid of it, but I can't. The exception is very difficult to reproduce and only appears in our exception logs every couple of days. I have tried the suggestion presented on the above thread by allan.ritc...@gmail.com where he simply catches and discards the exception. This appears to work but I don't know what damage it could be causing.
