As usual in OSS, it will be released when the team will say that it is ready. We can't give you a specific date because nobody in NH is an employee; we are working in NH in our free time and our free time depend on: - no pressure at work - sons does not want stay with you - wife/girlfriend does not have a task for you
If you are waiting for a GA well... that is your problem. Where I'm involved, we have persistence tests and for us NH is ready to be used in production when ours tests does not fail. If your problem is about the the usage of some specific feature, introducing a new API, and you want know how much stable is the API, then is another matter. btw - the QueryOver API is stable - for LINQ we have to talk with MS but I think that it is enough stable (how much it is supported by our provider is a matter of your tests) - the Loquacious-configuration API is stable There are various new features and as usual we have some bugs (in new features, old features and even in archaic features). NH3 has one year of development already. In general, after the release of first Alpha you can use NH in production and you can use new features because 'Alpha' for use mean: the API is stable, goes ahead to find some bugs. If you don't want to try an Alpha... well... you have to hope that somebody else finds and fix some bugs for you and after the release of a GA you have to wait another year, at least, before see your bugs fixed. As usual: The quality is not achieved by chance On Mon, Sep 20, 2010 at 9:12 AM, Cumbers <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Fabio, > > I wonder if you could be a little more specific with regard to an > nHibernate 3.0 release?
