First, my boss called me today and stated that one of my queries was using 75% of the system resources on the ISeries. Then, he let me know that my queries seem to be locking files which was preventing him from running his queries. I do not understand why this is happening because this has never happened before and I haven't changed anything.
Because our sys admin doesn't have journaling turned on, I can't start/ stop transactions so I query without that. Other than that, I am unsure what to look for.
