The Query Cache documentation mentions that “most queries do not benefit from caching, so by default queries are not cached”.
I understand that when we use the Query Cache only the resulting identifiers are cached (not the entities). And then it takes at least two calls - one to the query cache and at least another to fetch the entities - to fetch the cached results. I’m saying at least two since I don’t know if depending on the provider, NHibernate 2nd level caching can fetch the entities for a cached query in a single request… (I’ve used MemBased and I know we can fetch several cache items in a single request but I don’t know if that is possible with MemCached or AppFabric Caching). So, anyone can share some insights about using the Query Cache? Thanks in advance -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "nhusers" group.
