The collection-type shouldn't implement CollectionChanged; is the underlining persistent-collection who should be observable. In fact the ObservableListType<T> is to work with PersistentObservableGenericList<T>.
That explained, in order to use those nh-extensions you have to configure the collection-type-factory to WpfCollectionTypeFactory.
