For SqServer you may want to consider using Files and File Groups to achieve
what you want....Some starting material:

 Different database in MS SQL Server terms, which could be another
machine/installation, but in my case would be the same machine/installation.
Schema doesn't work for me, because in SQL Server a database can have
multiple schemas, but the data is located together. Catalog seems to do the
same thing as schemas (at least with SQL Server).

However, if that's the only way then I suppose it's not really possible
