Interestingly enough, this code does what it's expected to do when I change
the Class1ClassMap's Generator to Native:
public class Class1ClassMap : ClassMap<Class1>{
public Class1ClassMap()
{
Id(x => x.Id).GeneratedBy.Native();
Map(x => x.FirstName);
Map(x => x.LastName);
}}
