The session factory injection looks something like this: this.SetEnversProperty(ConfigurationKey.CustomSessionFactory, typeof (HistoricSessionFactory)); and the constructor of the GlobalConfiguration (namespace NHibernate.Envers.Configuration) has: CustomSessionFactory = ConfigurationKey.CustomSessionFactory.ToInstance<ISessionFactory>(properties); With that, the usage of separate DBs is achieved. Extra work is still to be done of course. My question is, what would speak against it?
