Yours Excellencies: Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok has now been closed by a group of terrorists from the anti-government People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), which is demanding that the elected government resign. This is despite the fact that the government has the backing of the majority of the Thai population. This backing has been proven by repeated elections. The PAD wants a dictatorship to replace democracy. International Airports are highly sensitive security areas. It is obvious that the Thai military, who staged an illegal coup in 2006, have quietly supported PAD’s actions. The PAD is a royalist fascist mob which has powerful backing. Apart from the army, they are supported by the paranoid loyalists, the so-called Democrat Party, the courts, the mainstream media and most university academics. What these people have in common is a total contempt for the Thai electorate who are poor. They are angry that the Thai people voted for a government that gave them universal health care and other benefits. They want to turn the clock back to a dictatorship which they call "the New Order". It is clear that the PAD, the Military, the Democrat Party and the conservative establishment would rather see total chaos in Thailand than allow democracy to function. Instead of addressing the airport-seizure stand off, they collute to arrange the Thai kangaroo constitution court to dissolve the ruling party on November 2 for the second time in 2 years. Then an authoritarian "national government" will be set up, headed by one of the privy councillers. Under the complete control, they will adopt the use of the blue print of new constitution that will limit the voice of the people to only 30%. This “New Order” politics will bring Thailand back to the predemocratic 1932 rules, under the disguise in the context of “Thai-style democracy”. The silence majority of Thailand strongly supports the pro-democracy Red Shirts. We hope our friends abroad will support their efforts to defend Thai democracy. We urge UN and all friendly governments who adore true democracy to continue support democracy and social justice in Thailand. We urge the International Circles to act fast before it is too late. There has been a lesson to learn from the Myanmar situation which was perhaps the fruit of the delay of prompt actions by the International Community. The support of your Excellencies shall be highly appreciated. Yours Excellency, we remain Sincerely, The Silent Majority of Thai People ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) 30 November 2008 ____________________________________________________________________ ________________________________ The information contained in this message may be confidential and legally protected under applicable law.
