One night I did the ol' steering wheel lock on my 450 and then put the motorcycle cover over. After dark I happened to go outside and could see a faint red glow down on the street. It was my brake light shining thru the motorcycle cover! So since then I've not used the steering lock. Also must be some kind of pinch short.
