Susan,
I have no idea what others do but I rinse my bike off and then I mix 1
partof Simple Green with 3 parts of water and spray it all over and then I wait
ten minutes and rinse it all off again and then dry off a few parts and call it
good. This seems to work well for me. I do it once every week or two.

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Washing your Nighthawk
OK boys and girls, next question. When I wash my Vespa Grand Tourisimo I
just go to the car wash and use the soap wand without pressure and always aim
down. The engine is up under the body and never gets wet and I can get all the
dust and bird poo off the body ad fly screen in a $1.25 cycle. The Nighthawk
has all sorts of exposed parts, all gettting dirty and grimy all the time.
What's my best bet for washing? What does everyone use for things like grease
grim? I have a few washing solutions made for my bicycles, something like
that? I live in the desert next to a field so everything gets dusty and grimy.
May sound like a big duh, but hey I want to do it right!
Susan
