Hey everyone - Quick question (as I don't have the Clymer manual in front of me...)
Is the 83 550 replacement shock eye to eye, or eye to clevis? (I'm searching for parts and I've seen both that are supposedly replacements for my bike....) (This maintenance thing isn't nearly as fun as the riding part... argh) And since I'm asking about parts, on an unrelated note, any of you good folks out there ever re-cover your seat? As in not with something you ordered from JC Whitney or somewhere else, as in found a big @ss piece of leather and broke out the staple gun? I gave it a shot this morning, as Star's seat was just looking PITIFUL... but I couldn't really get the staples in right. I'm not sure it's going to hold but it certainly looks better than the one that was on there. I promise I'm going to post a picture of her as soon as her seat is right. (and of course five minutes ago HB found a seat on auction at eBay. The guy is local to me and the price is ridiculously - I couldn't buy a cover from Whitney for this price -- and I'd still have to try and staple THAT on!
