That is the challenge when buying and installing a windshield. You never
know exactly how it's going to work for you until you try it. The dynamics
include windshield height, distance of windshield from rider, shape and
aerodynamics of windshield, rider height, helmet style, and so forth.
The other huge issue connected to all these dynamics is head buffeting. In
other words, the wind that swirls around your windshield and literally
knocks your head around. I've used windshields that were so amazing I had
little or no noise and so little air movement that a fly could sit safely on
my speedo console while I went down the road at 75 MPH. I've used other
shields that were so noisy and so rough on the head that I felt like I had
been in a fight with someone after driving only a few miles on the highway.
(These kinds are things are usually felt above 50 or 55 MPH.)

But if noise is the only thing you're dealing with, might I suggest a good
pair of earplugs? I bought these
plugs<http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?jspStoreDir=hdus&catalogId=10053&productId=100083845&navFlow=3&keyword=ear+plugs&langId=-1&searchRedirect=ear+plugs&storeId=10051&[EMAIL

summer and love them. Good ear plugs don't only limit noise, they
lengthen your ability to go longer distances by reducing wind fatigue.

Ride safe!
