That was a bike that would wind up like a watch and had enough
horsepower to make a 60 mile trip in 25 minutes to visit my (now) ex-
wife. On a trip to Nowhere, Arizona to get A beer at the Jack Ass Inn
and return, I had a small accident. Just after it happened I knew I'd
screwed up and screwed up good and this time I broke my neck. It
didn't take but maybe five minutes to realize that as they wouldn't
take my helmet off, thank God. It may have sucked having puked in my
full face helmet but not nearly as bad if they'd pulled my cracked
helmet of my brain!

Anyways to make a long story short, I'm now traveling on four wheels
as in a wheelchair! Had I not been wearing a helmet well, you
wouldn’t be reading this. So, if you don’t wear a helmet, you might
be broke but you never, ever know when something might happen but, if
it does you’ll have a brain that will most likely work just fine like
mine. A wheelchair isn’t all that bad, it’s what you make of it post
injury! After 23 plus years I’ve never been in the dumps or depressed
over it, what’s a killer is money and/or lack of and I’m sure that
someday I’ll be better off than I am now.

Ride safe and truly enjoy your riding but do it in a safe manner/buy,
borrow or steal a new helmet that meets all safety standards.
