Hey Al, I have the same bike and have to say you must be a bit more
mechanically inclined than I to have figured out how to get the seat
off so quickly. Then again, I was sort of stubbornly yanking on it and
hoping for a nice easy ergonomic latch to undo as opposed to having to
whip out a wrench and remove bolts to get it off...maybe Honda was
trying to emulate HD a bit too much with this one.

The clutch can be adjusted pretty easily. Just take the black dust
cover off the end of the unit where the cable meets the lever, loosen
the locknut, thats the bigger one, then rotate clockwise to get more
free play and counterclockwise to get less. If you want to make a
bigger change, do this at the other end of the clutch cable which is
right above the rear brake lever.

Hope this helps.

PS as a fellow newbie I urge you to get up into 3rd gear...more fun,
and your battery will start to charge itself. I had the same issue
practicing slow maneuvering the other day, my battery died after about
45 minutes...then again, the bike had been sitting for a few weeks so
that might also have been an issue.
