Strange:  I went to the dealership when I first bought my 250, and they looked
it up in their book and couldn't find it; no one there knew, but they called
the only one who might have known and he didn't know!
I finally figured it out, fiddling with the key in the back where the lock was:
there is a thumb latch to depress behind the key assembly.  But that's on a
250...

Emile,

I hope you were able to get the seat removed on your bike. When I got my NH250
I had the same challenge. I finally figured it out, and once I got the seat
off, there I found the owner's manual...which explained how to get the seat off.

Hmmmm.
