Almost any exposed metal on your bike is a ground terminal. duh

Here's my question about these. You're supposed to d/c the battery from the 
bike before charging it right? Besides on my 650 you can't get to the negative 
terminal without pulling the battery out of the bike. If I'm going that far I 
might as well put the battery on the bench charger.
