I just use a normal 18 mm scocket, but to remove plugs you might want to remove
the tank for easier access. To remove tank is very easy and simple, remove seat
2 Bolts and one on back of tank and slide tank back, remove hose from pet cock.

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] spark plugs and storage

Hi,
In preparation for winter storage, I read that a tablespoon of engine
oil should be put in each of the spark plug cylinder. True? Does
anyone know the minimum length of a sparkplug wrench I would need for
a nighthawk? (mine is an 84 650 if that makes a difference) I could
remove the tank and measure, but it's starting to snow around here...
Thank you!
