A previous post here advised to simply put the bike up on the center stand to insure that front forks are fully extended, then bleed all the air pressure out of the forks. Put the caps back on, and you're done. Putting the bike back on the ground compresses the forks and gives the necessary pressure. My manual calls for 4 to 10(?) lbs, and it's almost impossible to get that exact because just taking enough air out to get a pressure reading alters it. Perhaps with a hand/foot pump with gage.
I tried it, and it worked fine for me.
