No, nothing to fall out. Why do you want to ? No valve adjustments to make. As
they were never intended to be removed, they can be a PITA to get off. Only
loose parts are covers over anti-foam chambers. If you do have a reason for
this operation, it is a great time to degree in the cams. I've written about
this some time ago. I consider it a worthwhile off-season project. Provided the
spaghetti gasket survives, reseal with silicone sealer. Please try not to
scratch the surface, I've seen too many damaged.
Here's the deal on the cams; All chains stretch over time, even the neat ones
used in these. As they stretch, the cam timing retards. Resetting is a
painfully slow process but the results can be spectacular. You need a degree
wheel and a dial gauge. All valve timing spec is taken at 1MM lift. After
zeroing the wheel, you turn the crank to get 1MM lift of the valves and check
against the spec in the manual. Correction is applied At the sprockets. One 650
I did took a whole tooth of the intake sprocket and a hog-out of the holes in
the exhaust sprocket to get it in spec. Four hours to do. Dramatic power
increase. It's a trick employed by tuners to make sure you get all that was
designed in. Even a new assembly has a certain tolerance that can be corrected.
AND, it doesn't cost anything ! No parts used.

If I take the head cover off, do I need to worry about anything. On my
PC800 you may dislodge shims.
