That's pretty much the technique. I can throw my friend's 83 Sabre up with a
medium amount of effort, but my hawk remains stubborn. I suspect the stand
projection might be bent changing the leverage. I can't see any "obvious"
fatigue in the metal, and without another NH to compare it to I can't be
sure. Even if I was I wouldn't want to go bending on that too much, as it is
now I can get it up on center with some grunting straining, if I "fix" it I
might lose that much.
