I have an 1985 CB450SCL, with the L meaning it's a California model.
It has the charcoal canister hanging off the side along with a ton of
extra hoses cluttering things up. I've had this bike for three years,
when I purchased it there had been gas left in the tank so it wouldn't
run. I took it home, pulled the carbs, cleaned them, put them back on,
couldn't remember how to put all the emissions junk back on, and left
it. Fast forward three years and I'm now revisiting this project and I
want to get it running again

Anyways, the CB450's of the same year didn't come with the charcoal
canister or any of the other junk, so what I want to know is if it's
possible to eliminate that stuff in order to simplify everything.
