If "roll over" means a slow cranking speed that isn't high enough to start the
bike, Have the current draw of the starter motor checked both hot and cold. My
suspicion is a starter motor on the brink of failure. The low RPM ride is also
a slow one.The heat would spread to the starter motor and after a few minutes,
as it cools, be fine again. The high RPM ride would give you a pretty high
surface charge on the battery that would overcome the the high resistance
starter. lots'a variables here. How many miles on the bike ?
Now if "roll over" means something else... let's agree on a common language to
describe a problem.

Bought my Nighthawk last spring and put about 5K miles on it and
It's been great. The problem I have is after a normal highway ride the
bike will restart with no hesitation, but after a low RPM ride the
bike will barely roll over. If I wait 5 min. It will restart just
fine. I was told the bike will only recharge at 2500 RPM or higher and
a low RPM ride was draining the battery. That would make sense if it
did'nt recover it's charge after 5 min. I was also told to buy a new
battery. I don't buy that because it holds a charge for several weeks
at a time. A service guy told me I most likely have a dead short in
the charging system. I don't buy that either because it recovers it's
charge after a few min. A dead short would not allow a full recovery.
Hmmmm. any suggestions ? A big thanks to anyone who can shed some
light on this situation.

Patience, Spring really is comming !!!
