What I understood from reading the Clymer manual is that you can't adjust 
the cam chain tensionner, or you can't change the spring or chain, without 
opening completely the engine. A very costly job. So owners of a nighthawk 
over 40 000 km (25 000 Mi) must admit this noise. Or admit to pay. Or do 
the job themselves. That's one more pleasure on this bike.
