Sorry...no peaking! You'll need to remove the old gasket and replace. It's 
not exactly an easy job and you'd better have some extra cam cover bolts for 
replacements. I had to replace 5 of them due to bad condition when I re-did 
my cam cover gasket. HotrodMamma.

Have you ever taken the cylinder head (cam) cover off of one of these
beasts? If I take the cover off will the gasket be reusable or do I
need to have a new gasket in hand before taking a peek at the innards?
