Hi Jay, thank you very much for such a nice explanation. It is a good idea to try the stand-up shifting, I did not though about it. I might be getting a friend to go with me today, and he can ride. As I said, I did check all that I could... all the electrical, tires look fine (but I could put new ones just in case), all the parts in the engine I can see look really clean. I also looked the foot pegs, they don't look old. Although I didn't check the oil.... I'll do next time.
I guess there is always an implicit risk when you buy an used vehicle, so I'm not going to think too much about it. Thanks again, Javier.
