We see bikes like that from time to time. It's called "Grey market" and as long
as the paper work is in order it can be done. Here in PA, you would need a
certificate of origin and a signed statement from an inspection mechanic of
it's suitability of conformance to applicable safety standards for it's year.
The problem comes when trying to get parts for non-US imports. Honda will not
ship parts for a Grey market bike to a dealer without you first getting an
authorization from the Pope. All the GM bikes I ever did, I had to get creative
or contact a Canadian dealer. The 750s is quite different from the 700s. Many
parts are the same but critical ones are not. Because of emissions standards
(as applied when new) the ign boxes, cams, carbs are different. Still, it's a
cool bike, I'd love to have one.

I'm wondering if anyone has imported a Canadian 84-86 CB750S Nighthawk
into the USA. You probably know that the 84-86 750 Nighthawk S was
sold in Canada but was kept out of the U.S. due to a high tariff
imposed by the U.S. government on all foreign manufactured motorcycles
exceeding 700cc's.

Also, has anyone imported into the U.S. any other motorcyle, whether
it was originally sold or not sold in the U.S,? Thanks,

Ken.
