Hey thanks Dennis . I have talked to the local shop. They suggested I also lower the front end the same amount by sliding up the forks two inches. Will that level out the protentail handling problems. will that change the rake/ I have a bad knee an hip I really need to lower this bike safely. I also appreciate the advise on using led lights in the back . ride safe an God bless everyone I also realize I will need to shorten the kickstand.

As in, slower, harder to steer. Try it and see. Might not be too bad. Also, the clearance between the tire and fender will be closer. Rear trailing arm travel over bumps may allow the tire to hit the fender. 2" is quite a bit. Have somebody check the clearance with you on it. And then, with two up. --- On Wed, 4/8/09, steven click <[email protected]> wrote: From: steven click <[email protected]> Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] shocking question about shocks To: [email protected] Date: Wednesday, April 8, 2009, 11:22 PM I just bought a pair of Showa shocks for my 83 550 NH off ebay because they were two inches shorter than my shocks.
