I own a 1984 CB700SC. It's my first bike, and I've owned it for about a year. Unfortunately, it threw a rod yesterday. I'm currently evaluating my options. It's such a great bike, I would be a shame not to fix it. Would engines from other models/years fit my bike? I found a guy selling new old stock 1979-1983 CB750 engines and was wondering if that might work. Otherwise, if you have suggestions for finding another CB700SC engine I would really appreciate it.
