I tried yesterday to replace the fork seals on my 82 450,but the snap rings gave me H-E double hockey sticks! I was wondering if,
Anyone else has had a problem getting the snap rings off??? Do I need special (ie motorcycle specific pliers) snap ring pliers??? These fork seals are probably the original seals from 82,seeing as how i bought the bike with 2300 miles on it,last summer! lol So im also thinking maybe thats why I had trouble for 3 hours trying to get them out and still no luck. Any advice how to get the snap rings off, besides taking them to a dealership or shop??? Cuz the dealership here wont work on a bike older than 1999 and the shop here ripped me off for $300 and I wish not to give my business to him!!
