I crashed 1996 750 last summer at about 35 miles an hour. It smacked
very hard on the right side. Bent the handle bars, front brake lever,
foot pegs, rear brake lever, you get the picture. I have had to
replace a lot of cosmetic stuff but that was 10,000 miles ago. Bike
us running great and I'm just replacing my back tire - it's over due.

My point is, I would watch things but don't worry about it. I don't
even count the time I did exactly the same thing as you in a parking
lot. These bikes are very well built. They are built for beginners.
If you couldn't drop these on their sides they wouldn't last.

Enjoy your ride and stay safe.
