when you find a pair of carb, hope you get a later version...34mm.
1985-86
Will fit. Later 1985-6 California carbs have vac ports for
emmission canister,
Just go to auto parts store and get Vac Plugs to plug up where vac
hoses went.
You do NOT NEED to replace the air cut off vavles. Just leave the old
ones in and plug up the Vacuum
port under the cover. that port pulls the Diafram IN...You don't want
that. Honda made these Carbs run
very Lean.
Turn the Idle set screws Out 2 and a half turns. ''Thats after you
run them in all the way...
Do Not run the screw in hard all the way or you my bend in when it
bottoms out. Be gental.....
Soak in Yamaha Carb cleaner first after disassembley. Read the Bottle
of Carb cleaner...
All you may need rubber wise is, bowl gaskets and Maybe Accelerater
pump.
Allso if you can get a 1985-86 carb jet it up to 127.5 or 130.
They will not have as bad lag off the line when cold. The newer
blended gas is lean running.
one or two Jet sizes helps these old lean machines.
EBAY--- Also Look under Honda CM450 Carbs.
