Triumph is a nice bike - it's not the same as the "original" triumph though -
supposedly they're owned by BMW now or something. Hell I'd probably take one of
them over a Harley. I personally think Harley's are overpriced and you're just
paying for the brand more than anything else.

I just got my first bike a 1985 Nighthawk 650cc and already have looked into
what I'd get if and when I decide to get a brand new bike. Triumph is
definitely on the top of my list. The Bonneville though, is just too small for
my 6 ft 2 inch frame, even though it packs a 865cc engine (bigger than my 650 -
but the older 650 was a big bike at that time - 4 cylinders, etc)

Of course that's a long long way away - I might get a Honda Shadow or
something.

I just can't see dropping upwards of 15K for the "name" Harley Davidson.

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] After The Nighthawk

I've had trouble imagining what I would ride after the Nighthawk.
The new stuff does not appeal to me!
But this weekend, I started researching the Triumph Bonneville,

My '99 NH has many miles to go, but it's nice to know
there is a similar, distant Standard cousin out there.
