I don't see any washers, just the bushing. I reuse all original washers to 
maintain the clearances from the builder. I only clean the armature and replace 
the brushes. Keep everything as it was. The washers are thrust washers and 
serve to establish an end-play clearance. Dab of grease in the bushing (very 
little) and reassemble.
