I found a Haynes book for my 69-78 750K, I think I may tackle the stator cover replacement tonight.
Not being mechanically natured it should be interesting. So far I've been told that I have to remove the shifter lever and the cover there, as well as the stator cover. Though I don't see why... from the pictures I should be able to just pull the cracked stator cover off, remove the magnet, put the magnet in the newer cover and put it back on... Some also tell me I need to drain the oil... the oil has stopped leaking from the stator cover, so I'm thinking whatever was in that is whats all over the ground..., the oil level has been stable in the tank all week. Any Suggestions? Rob On Mon, Jun 22, 2009 at 12:04 PM, Creative Residential Designs < [email protected]> wrote: > > You can stay here and talk to us about them on occasion.
