I got that on my bike. Fixed it cleaning with contact cleaner the 
connectors. Very low currents in these wires, so that oxydisation creates a 
thin insulation layer. A high current, in that case, like for example a 
contact which feeds a lamp or the alternator, would make a micro spark 
which eliminates the oxyde. A low (milliamps) current feeding a LCD display 
doesn't.
Also check the groundings : unscrew, clean, screw again. In luxury cars, 
connector pins are gold plated, to avoid this effect.
